Typing Speed Test
Measure typing speed with passages such as the Gettysburg Address and Hamlet (Korean texts when the site is in Korean), then copy a result card to the clipboard.
- Live WPM, CPM and accuracy – Calculates speed and error rate as you type
- Passages in your language – Pick from literature, speeches, developer quotes and English texts
- Tier and result card – Shows a tier on completion and lets you copy the result card
Typing speed test and practice
Measure your typing speed and accuracy on real passages, and copy the result as a card.
WPM and CPM
WPM is words per minute and CPM is characters (keystrokes) per minute. Korean words vary widely in length, so CPM shows speed more intuitively there. Accuracy is shown alongside, taking typos into account.
Choosing a text
Choose from English passages such as the Gettysburg Address, a Hamlet soliloquy, a quote by Brian Kernighan and a pangram. Switch the site to Korean to practice with Korean texts instead, such as a Yun Dong-ju poem and the preface to Hunminjeongeum.
Sharing your result
When you finish you get a speed tier and a result card, and you can copy the card to the clipboard and paste it anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
- Are my results saved on a server?
- No. Nothing is sent to or stored on a server.
- Korean input seems to be measured oddly.
- Korean has letters that are still being composed, so measurements can vary with your input method. Type the text through to the end and check the result.
